Learn how to onboard your end client

Now that you have successfully set up your organization sandbox, you can begin onboarding your first end client to your Anchorage Digital account.

To do this, follow these steps:

1. Collect end client KYC information and documentation.

2. Sign terms and conditions: The end client then signs the Anchorage Digital terms and conditions.

3. This can be an optional step, assuming other conditions are met. Details outlined in the next section.

4. Submit: Once the application data is ready, submit the application and required documentation via API.

5. Anchorage Digital review: Anchorage Digital will perform KYC due diligence. If any questions come up from our review team or documents are missing, we will need to collect these via secure file sharing.

6. Application approval: Once reviewed and approved, the application status will be COMPLETE. Please leverage our Webhooks to notify you when this is complete.

Subaccount onboarding and creation can be requested while the end clients are pending approval by Anchorage Digital, and will be approved together.

Any change in data or requests to terminate an account is authenticated by ADB with the end clients via Docusign prior to processing.

Sandbox onboarding notes

• In sandbox environment, these applications MUST use mock/ dummy data and reviews are expedited. In production, actual client information is required (no dummy data allowed in production) and a more thorough review process is necessary.
• Anchorage Digital plans to build support for these requests to be submitted via API in the future._

There are two integration paths in regard to terms and conditions

1. With Anchorage Digital terms and conditions:

   1. Include Anchorage Digital terms and conditions for end clients to sign.
   2. These are hosted with Docusign and can be embedded in your existing onboarding workflow.
   
   

   Docusign’s Embedded Signing integration

   Note: Anchorage supports Docusign’s Embedded Signing integration, which allows immediate signing within an app or website. While there are user experience advantages with this integration, the signed URLs returned do have additional security and should be generated immediately before use and is subject to a 5 minute timeout from Docusign that cannot be changed.

   Details from Docusign are available in this page. Should a URL expire, a new URL can be requested with a subsequent GET call to the agreement endpoint.

   
   

2. Without Anchorage Digital terms and conditions:

   1. You can be responsible for collecting the terms and conditions and do not have to rely on Anchorage’s process of presenting the terms and conditions through Docusign. However, you are responsible for sharing the terms and conditions with the end clients and have them accept / acknowledge Anchorage Digital's version of the terms and conditions and record and maintain proof of their acceptance.
